Kal Staley, grandson of Crew 14 copilot Jack Sims, and Gabrielle Daigle, great-granddaughter of Crew 13 bombardier Robert C. Bourgeois, were announced at the 2018 New Orleans meeting.

Two programs, kept clearly separate.
The descendants program belongs to the Children of the Doolittle Raiders. The separately administered General James H. Doolittle Scholarship supports aerospace study through Communities Foundation of Texas.

Communities Foundation of Texas currently describes an aerospace scholarship of up to $5,000. Its posted April 1, 2026 deadline has passed.
