Entered service in November 1939. Completed aircraft and engine mechanic's course in April 1941. Rated as engineer-gunner, February 1942. After Tokyo Raid, returned to China-Burma-India Theater in 1943 and in 1945 served in Asiatic Pacific Theater. Served overseas after World War II in Germany, England, Japan, Guam and Canada as an aircraft maintenance technician. Decorations include the Distinguished Flying Cross and the Chinese Army, Navy, and Air Corps Medal, Class A, 1st Grade.
